Description
You will work with us as one of 19 employees.
In Kungälv Municipality, we have gathered all economists and development leaders in a common organization. We function as a support and management function for the municipality's operations and have extensive contact with the entire organization.
Our business system is Unit4 ERP. We work in an activity-based office in the town hall in Kungälv.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a business economist for the Education and Learning sector.
Currently, we have three economists working for the sector, and we need to replace an economist who is moving on to another position within the unit. The responsibilities of Education and Learning include preschool, primary school, secondary school, adult education, and competence center.
In your role as an economist, you will work closely with the operations together with the sector manager, operations manager, unit managers, and other employees within the operations. You will have an active role in budget and follow-up work, where you also support our managers in preparing annual budgets, monthly follow-ups, forecasts, and interim financial statements. Other areas of work include calculation, accounting, internal control, analysis of operations/economy and key figures, as well as projects and investigations.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an interest and ability to develop financial issues both in the operations and within the unit. You can easily collaborate with different people and adapt your way of communicating based on the person you are talking to. To succeed in the role, it is important that you are pedagogical and can relate to people smoothly. You have a good ability to see the overall picture of the operations in actions and decisions. You are meticulous and structured, take initiative, and have an analytical mindset.
We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics.
It is beneficial if you have a few years of work experience from the municipal sector, preferably within operational economics for the education sector.
Good IT skills are a prerequisite.
